Amazing unique gold cufflinks, found at an estate sale. Setting hallmarked 585 for 14K is substantial yellow gold. Each has a near-mint solid gold (22K) coin set inside. 1896 10c Austria Franz Joseph I and 1910 10c Austria Franz Joseph I. These beautiful cufflinks appear to have never been worn. No dents, dings, or scratches. The coins weigh about 3 grams together, outside of the cufflink settings. The cufflinks weigh 16.3 grams total weight. The only issue I see is that the coin’s heads are pointing in different directions. A jeweler could easily rotate one of the coins – I didn’t want to try.
