Don’t miss out! CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR DETAILS AND QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS ITEM. THIS COIN CAME STRAIGHT FROM THE U. 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin (UH1). The United States Mint is proud to offer the public the opportunity to own a beautiful 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin. This one-ounce, 24-karat gold coin is a triumph in coin design representing the culmination – more than a century in the making – of a partnership between a renowned artist, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, and a visionary leader, President Theodore Roosevelt. The coin, is a digitally reproduced version of Saint-Gaudens original ultra high relief 1907 Double Eagle gold piece, which was never released into circulation. On the coins obverse, Saint-Gaudens shows Liberty, personified by a statuesque woman striding powerfully forward. A young eagle flying during a sunrise is depicted on the reverse. The original 1907 Double Eagle is considered by many the most beautiful coin ever made in the United States. But despite Saint-Gaudens artistic masterpiece, the minting process at the time did not allow for the mass production of ultra high relief coins, and Saint-Gaudens artistic vision was never fully realized. In 2008, through 21st century design and technology, the original Saint-Gaudens coin plasters were digitally mapped and the ultra high relief sculpture was updated to reflect the year 2009 in Roman numerals (MMIX), an additional four stars were added to represent the last four states admitted to the Union and the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST, which was not on the 1907 version, was added, along with a small border to provide a more consistent edge. Featured on the raised edge-lettering of the coin is the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM with the letters separated by stars. The 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin is packaged in an elegant mahogany wood box with velvet lining. A wood platform encasing the coin capsule allows the coin to be visible without tilting it. The box is finished with a high-gloss lacquer and the inscriptions used are in a font similar to those used in the early 1900s when the original coin was produced. Included with each coin is an official United States Mint companion book that chronicles the history and development of the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin describing the modern technologies and processes used to perfect this unique legal tender United States coin. Silver products, and some gold as well, may exhibit milk spots, and/or toning, which are normal and do not change the condition described in the listing, nor the value of the product. Coins that are holdered by one of the major grading companies are graded based on the condition they were in at the time of grading. However, at times, coins do tend to develop spotting or toning which are a normal happenstance in coins. Please keep in mind, the appearance of the toning and/or milk spots does not mean that the coin is not the grade specified on the actual slab. In instances where there is a discrepancy where the customer believes to be unjust, please refer to the grading companys guarantee policy. Both NGC and PCGS have a program where they will compensate the owner of the current coin if they believe the coin deserves a lower grade than it had originally received. Please note, bullion coins, bars and rounds are mass-produced and are not struck to the same quality standards as collector coins. These bullion products are not certified and therefore will not always be 100% perfect. About 15 years ago, based on speaking with a number of rare coin investors who were also active in the stock market, Barry realized that there were many similarities between identifying undervalued stocks and undervalued rare coins. He realized that the similarities between stocks and rare coins could be helpful in forming numismatic investment strategies if he could just harvest and properly formulate the needed information. That’s when CoinStats was born. Barry started out with the “market capitalization” (market cap) of each coin in the five most popular series of rare U. Gold and Silver coins. For stocks: market cap = number of shares outstanding X price per share. For Rare Coins: market cap = population X price. Population is determined by the number of coins graded by NGC, plus the number of coins graded by PCGS; Price is based on the PCGS current list price. The first step in identifying undervalued coins is comparing the market cap of coins based on the formula above. CoinStats then goes on to compare the decrease in population of the next higher grade, to the increase in price of that grade. The largest percentage of decrease in population for the next higher grade, combined with the highest percentage increase in price, identifies the. What makes this coin even more valuable, coveted, and in higher demand is the first generation PCGS green holder, referred to as a Rattler. Because they were graded during a more conservative period of PCGS’ history many Rattler coins are in superior condition to their counterparts. Rattler coins have been known to upgrade one, sometimes even two grades, if resubmitted to PCGS. As a result of the more conservative grading standards and upgrade possibilities, coins in Rattler holders typically command prices averaging about 20% higher than their contemporary counterparts. We are proud to offer this unique and outstanding investment tool exclusively to our clients. Why is CoinStats so helpful to rare coin investors? Since 1960, our President and Founder, Barry Stuppler, has been helping develop numismatic investment strategies for thousands of highly successful rare coin investors and collectors. As collectors and investors are priced out of the market for the next higher grade, their attention turns to these. CoinStats has consistently helped investors outperform even the overall market in investment-quality coins for the past 15 years. CoinStats is provided FREE of charge to all current clients! Stuppler & Company (parent company of Mint State Gold) is pleased to provide all current clients with a free copy of our current issue of CoinStats. Based on Barry’s experience and expertise he has developed a stringent set of grading standards for PCGS/NGC capsulated coins that when met, those exceptional coins are awarded the esteemed GOLD PQ STICKER. The stringent standards for being awarded a GOLD PQ STICKER are based on the strong desirability of these coins to both beginning and experienced collectors/investors in rare coins. This criteria is not considered by other services that offer stickers, and makes finding a coin with a GOLD PQ STICKER a true beauty to have.
