Eagle & Liberty 1880. The watch has 18 Karat Yellow Gold round case, bezel, engraved back, fluted crown topped with a crystal, bracelet and lock. The black painted matching hands and black inked words “Corum / Quartz” are also on the dial. The back features the engraving of the Statue’s of Liberty profile above “1880” number on the bottom and 13 stars around the rim. The coin wristwatch comes on silk style matching 18 Karat Yellow Gold Bracelet. The watch measures approximately 28 mm (31 mm including the crown), 5 mm thick. The lugs are appr. 16 mm wide apart. Vintage Corum $5 Liberty Head Gold Coin Watch Quartz 1893
Gold Coin Watch Quartz 1893. Featured is a unique and extremely creative concept produced by a world renowned watchmaking company: Corum. The Swiss watchmaker was founded in 1955 and is known for producing high-quality, high-priced and limited edition watch series. This particular piece features a 1893 five dollar US liberty head half eagle 22kt gold coin with a Swiss quartz movement that runs beautifully. The face has black steel minute and hour hands and a push down crown. The 24.50mm case is made of solid 18kt yellow gold and it holds a sapphire crystal that protects the half eagle side of the coin. The case is connected to a link style bracelet made of solid 14kt yellow gold with a flip-open buckle that can be adjusted in two places. The piece weighs 36.9 grams, measures 7″ in length and the bracelet measures 1/2″ in width. It is in excellent condition with normal signs of wear. Crafted in the 1980s, Excellent Condition. Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre, The Coin Mechanical (Stem Wind), 10K GF, RARE
Thank you for viewing. For sale is a circa. 1995 Jaeger LeCoultre, “The Coin” stem-wound, mechanical dress watch. This is a used. Vintage time piece in excellent condition. The watch was recently serviced by an independent, Certified Master Watchmaker. This recent service included an evaluation of the movement, and standard testing to ensure metal content and accuracy. The watch is 100% original. Some additional details are as follows. The movement is a stem-wind, LeCoultre signed, 480/CW 17 Jewels. The case material is 10K Gold Filled. The watch’s unique design is a limited edition “The Coin” design. The gold dial is embossed with Lady Liberty, and the hour-makers are 6-pointed stars. The sides of the case are coin-edged (see pictures), keeping with the theme of the watch. The dial and case have a nice gold luster to them, as such it was difficult to take well-lit pictures of the watch. The band is an original, Jaeger-LeCoultre manufactured, two-piece, black, alligator leather band with 10-micron gold-plated hardware. The watch has the original, domed crystal. Comes with original outer box and display box. (Note: previous owner taped the display box closed at one point and damaged the external leather – see photo). The watch is time only. The extended, off-set lugs measure 18.00 mm in width, and 32.00 mm lug-to-lug. The case measures 32.00 mm. The markings on back read: “10K Gold Filled D&A”. Suffice it to say the watch is running good time and has since I took possession. I’ve never submerged or polished the watch. This is an incredibly beautiful, and rare piece and in remarkable condition.
