A strong breeze blows her garment and her long hair as she elevates one of her feet on a rock. The rays of the rising sun emerge from the horizon in the background, and the Capitol Dome is in the lower left. Fifty stars encircle the image, an adaptation from the forty-six that appeared on the double eagle. Miley Busiek’s reverse design honors the national bird, for which the coin is named.
