DOLPHINS on a solid GOLD COIN- 2005 1/20 ounce crown- British Tristan da Cunha
Dated 2005 1/20 ounce Solid GOLD crown coin. From the British country of Tristan da Cunha. This small solid gold genuine coin is made of solid gold and contains 1/20 of a troy ounce of 99.9% pure gold. Notice the intricate design with three dolphins swimming in a circle. Legend above them reads “Friends Of The Sea”. It’s face value is one crown. On the bottom it has the inscription 1/20 oz. 999 GOLD, which indicates that it is 99.9% pure gold. Queen Elizabeth’s portrait and the 2005 date is on the other side. These scarce coins were issued by the country of “Tristan Da Cunha” (which is part of the United Kingdom) and was produced only in 2005 at the famous Pobjoy British mint. The Pobjoy mint produces coins for many nations who do not have their own Minting Facilities. Photos are of the actual coin you will receive. Please examine the enlarged images to get an idea of minor surface blemishes and the beauty of this design. At the time of this listing, this is the only one of these offered for sale on E-bay. Made of pure 99.9 % solid gold, the 1/20th oz. Size is very small, about 13 to 14mm in diameter (13.92mm), and 999.9 gold (= 99.99% pure), smaller than a US dime.
