Pricing or Typographical Errors We work hard to provide accurate Product and pricing information to you. However, pricing or typographical errors may occur. American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs is affected by many economic factors, including the current market price of Bullion, the perceived scarcity of the Coins and other factors. Some of these factors include the quality, and current demand and general market sentiment. Therefore, because both Bullion and Coins can go down in price as well as up, investing in them may not be suitable for everyone. Because all investments, including Bullion and Coins, can decline in value, you should understand them well, and have adequate cash reserves and disposable income before considering a Bullion or Coin investment. Please consult your financial advisor. APMEX does guarantee that every item that we sell is genuine and that all Precious Metal items do contain the weight, fineness, and purity that we have advertised. However, all investments, of every type, involve some level of risk and Precious Metals are no exception. Like many markets, the Precious Metals market is speculative, and it is unregulated. The value of any Bullion item is generally determined by current spot price of the underlying Precious Metal and by the supply and demand for these particular items. These prices will fluctuate throughout the day while the Precious Metals market is open. If you are considering purchasing Precious Metals as an investment, you should assess the stability of the current market and contact your financial advisor for all advice. The United States’ official gold bullion coin, the Gold American Eagle, was first released in 1986. Today, it comes in tenth-ounce, quarter-ounce, half-ounce and one-ounce forms. The Gold American Eagle was authorized by the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985 and is now one of the world’s most popular gold bullion coins. Government guarantees that each coin includes the amount of actual gold weight, in Troy ounces, on the back of the coin. Though predominantly gold, the coin is much more wear-resistant than coins with a gold purity of at least 99.9 percent. This strengthening is due to the addition of copper and silver, which helps make it more resistant to stuffs than other bullion. The gold, as required by law, originates from sources in the United States. The coin’s obverse depicts the full-length figure of Lady Liberty. Her hair is flowing and she holds in her right hand a torch. In her left hand she holds an olive branch, a traditional symbol of peace. The Capitol Building, home to the United States Congress, can also be seen in the background to the left. This design actually debuted on the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle coin. Mint between 1907 and 1933 and takes its name from Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the sculptor who was originally responsible for the design. That coin has often been considered among the most beautiful U. Issued coins, making this Liberty design an obvious one to revive in 1986. The Gold American Eagle’s reverse design comes instead from the monumental sculptor Miley Tucker-Frost. It portrays a male eagle clasping an olive branch as it flies above a nest with a female eagle and two hatchlings. A bald eagle is iconic as the national bird of the United States. In most instances, the face value of a Gold American Eagle is proportional to its weight. A weight of 1.0909 Troy oz. 2017 1 oz $50 Gold American Eagle Coin
The 1907 Augustus Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is widely regarded as the most beautiful gold coin ever struck by the U. Mint and serves as the inspiration for the Gold American Eagle. First struck in 1986, the Gold American Eagle has quickly become one of the most popular gold coins in history, largely due to the intricate design of the coin which immortalizes Lady Liberty and the American Bald Eagle as symbols of independence and freedom. Each coin is 1 oz of pure gold. Eligible for self-directed IRA (additional paperwork required ask your specialist for details). Official gold bullion product of the United States. The obverse of the coin is Lady Liberty, assertively walking with an olive branch in her left as the symbol of peace and a torch in her right lighting the way to freedom. The reverse of the coin also includes an olive branch. Gold American Eagles is legal tender of the United States and comes in four different sizes including the 1 Troy oz coin. The 22 karat coin is not as soft as the Gold American Buffalo and is more resistant to wear than the 24 karat coin. The weight and purity of each Gold American Eagle coin is guaranteed by the United States government. The Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985 permitted the U. Mint to produce a series of gold coins. The Gold American Eagle began production the following year and since that time the Gold American Eagle has been amongst the most popular gold coins in the world. Eagle is the official designation made by the United States for pre-1933 ten dollar gold coins so the weight is usually included when talking about the Gold American Eagle coin, 1 ounce Gold American Eagle. In addition to the Gold American Eagle, the U. Gold Bureau offers the Gold American Buffalo, Gold Canadian Maple Leaf, and the Gold Krugerrand along with many other gold coins for investors and collectors to diversify their portfolios.
