Pricing or Typographical Errors We work hard to provide accurate Product and pricing information to you. However, pricing or typographical errors may occur. American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs is affected by many economic factors, including the current market price of Bullion, the perceived scarcity of the Coins and other factors. Some of these factors include the quality, and current demand and general market sentiment. Therefore, because both Bullion and Coins can go down in price as well as up, investing in them may not be suitable for everyone. Because all investments, including Bullion and Coins, can decline in value, you should understand them well, and have adequate cash reserves and disposable income before considering a Bullion or Coin investment. Please consult your financial advisor. APMEX does guarantee that every item that we sell is genuine and that all Precious Metal items do contain the weight, fineness, and purity that we have advertised. However, all investments, of every type, involve some level of risk and Precious Metals are no exception. Like many markets, the Precious Metals market is speculative, and it is unregulated. The value of any Bullion item is generally determined by current spot price of the underlying Precious Metal and by the supply and demand for these particular items. These prices will fluctuate throughout the day while the Precious Metals market is open. If you are considering purchasing Precious Metals as an investment, you should assess the stability of the current market and contact your financial advisor for all advice. Definitions The following terms have the following meanings in these T&C: 1. The term “APMEX” means APMEX, Inc. The term “Bullion” is used to describe (1) Gold, Silver, Platinum or Palladium Coin(s) which closely follow spot prices and have little or no Numismatic value (such as restrikes); and (2) the form in which metal is shaped such as bars, ingots or wafers. The term “Coin(s)” means a stamped piece of metal of a known weight and fineness issued for commerce by a sovereign government. The term “Fair Market Value” means the Fair Market Value of the Product as determined by APMEX, in its reasonable discretion, as of 5:00 p. The term “Numismatic Coin(s)” means a Coin, the price of which depends more in its (their) rarity, condition, dates, and mint marks than on their gold or silver content, if any. The term “Precious Metal” means Gold, Silver and Platinum along with the Platinum group of elements: rhodium, osmium, ruthenium, Palladium and iridium. Precious Metals are characteristically lustrous, ductile, rare and nonreactive. The term “Semi-Numismatic” means a Coin that has both Bullion and Numismatic value. General Absence of Relationship. No other relationship, including, without limitation, any agent-principal relationship, any employee-employer relationship, any franchisee-franchisor relationship, any joint venture relationship or any partnership relationship, between APMEX and you exists. This contract, including but not limited to the T&C, shall be binding on all permitted assigns and successors of APMEX and you. It is APMEX’s goal that any disagreement or dispute be resolved expeditiously. Any action arising out of or relating to these T&C shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of laws principles. (b) Waiver of Jury Trial; Arbitration. If APMEX cannot perform any obligation hereunder as a result of any event that is beyond its control, APMEX’s delay or failure to perform such obligation shall be excused and APMEX shall not be liable for any damages as a result of, or in connection with, such delay or such failure. You shall execute and deliver such other documents and take such other actions as may be reasonably requested by APMEX to carry out your obligations under these T&C. A decision or a failure by APMEX to take action with respect to any non-compliance by you of your obligations to APMEX or to insist upon strict adherence to any term in these T&C, does not affect the ability of APMEX with respect to any other non-compliance by you, and does not waive or limit APMEX’s right thereafter to insist upon strict adherence to that or any other term, whether of a similar or dissimilar nature. The section headings are included for ease of reference and do not affect the interpretation or the scope of these T&C. These T&C are intended to be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. If any term of these T&C is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such unenforceability shall not affect the other terms of these T&C, and the term that would otherwise be unenforceable shall be enforced to the fullest extent that it would be enforceable. 1799, Prussia, Frederick William III. Gold Friedrick d'Or Coin. RR! PCGS AU-58
1799, Prussia, Frederick William III. Gold Friedrick d’Or Coin. Mint Year: 1799 Mint Place: Berlin (A) Reference: Friedberg 2422, Oldenburg 208, KM-371. Certified and graded by PCGS as AU-58! Denomination: Frederick d’Or (Friedrichs d’or = Gold Frederick) Material: Gold. 903 Weight: 6.7gm. Obverse: Uniformed bust of Frederick William III left. WILHELM III KOENIG VON PREUSSEN. Reverse: Crowned eagle of Prussia perched on war trophies (wreathed helmet, shield, sword & fasces). Date (17-99) split by mint initial (A) below. Legend: 17 (A) 99. Frederick William III German. (3 August 1770 7 June 1840) was king of Prussia from 1797 to 1840. He ruled Prussia during the difficult times of the Napoleonic Wars and the end of the Holy Roman Empire. Steering a careful course between France and her enemies, after a major military defeat in 1806, he eventually and reluctantly joined the coalition against Napoleon in the. Following Napoleon’s defeat he was King of Prussia during the Congress of Vienna which assembled to settle the political questions arising from the new, post-Napoleonic order in Europe. He was determined to unify the Protestant churches, to homogenize their liturgy, their organization and even their architecture. The long-term goal was to have fully centralized royal control of all the Protestant churches in the Prussian Union of churches. Frederick William was born in Potsdam in 1770 as the son of Frederick William II of Prussia and Frederika Louisa of Hesse-Darmstadt. He was considered to be a shy and reserved boy, which became noticeable in his particularly reticent conversations distinguished by the lack of personal pronouns. This manner of speech subsequently came to be considered entirely appropriate for military officers. As a child, Frederick William’s father (under the influence of his mistress, Wilhelmine Enke, Countess of Lichtenau) had him handed over to tutors, as was quite normal for the period. He spent part of the time living at Paretz, the estate of the old soldier Count Hans von Blumenthal who was the governor of his brother Prince Heinrich. They thus grew up partly with the Count’s son, who accompanied them on their Grand Tour in the 1780s. Frederick William was happy at Paretz, and for this reason in 1795 he bought it from his boyhood friend and turned it into an important royal country retreat. He was a melancholy boy, but he grew up pious and honest. His tutors included the dramatist Johann Engel. As a soldier he received the usual training of a Prussian prince, obtained his lieutenancy in 1784, became a colonel in 1790, and took part in the campaigns against France of 17921794. On 24 December 1793, Frederick William married Luise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who bore him ten children. (Crown Prince’s Palace) in Berlin, Frederick William lived a civil life with a problem-free marriage, which did not change even when he became King of Prussia in 1797. His wife Luise was particularly loved by the Prussian people, which boosted the popularity of the whole House of Hohenzollern, including the King himself. Frederick William succeeded to the throne on 16 November 1797. He also became, in personal union, the sovereign prince of the Principality of Neuchâtel (17971806 and again 18131840). At once, the new King showed that he was earnest of his good intentions by cutting down the expenses of the royal establishment, dismissing his father’s ministers, and reforming the most oppressive abuses of the late reign. He had the Hohenzollern determination to retain personal power but not the Hohenzollern genius for using it. Too distrustful to delegate responsibility to his ministers, he lacked the will to strike out and follow a consistent course for himself. Disgusted with the moral debauchery of his father’s court (in both political intrigues and sexual affairs), Frederick William’s first endeavor was to restore morality to his dynasty. The eagerness to restore dignity to his family went so far that it nearly caused sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow to cancel his. Project, which was commissioned by the previous monarch Frederick William II. He was quoted as saying the following, which demonstrated his sense of duty and peculiar manner of speech. Every civil servant has a dual obligation: to the sovereign and to the country. It can occur that the two are not compatible; then, the duty to the country is higher. At first Frederick William and his advisors attempted to pursue a policy of neutrality in the Napoleonic Wars. Although they succeeded in keeping out of the Third Coalition in 1805, eventually Frederick William was swayed by the belligerent attitude of the queen, who led Prussia’s pro-war party, and entered into war in October 1806. On 14 October 1806, at the Battle of Jena-Auerstädt, the French defeated the Prussian army led by Frederick William, and the Prussian army collapsed. The royal family fled to Memel, East Prussia, where they fell on the mercy of Emperor Alexander I of Russia. Alexander, too, suffered defeat at the hands of the French, and at Tilsit on the Niemen France made peace with Russia and Prussia. Napoleon dealt with Prussia very harshly, despite the pregnant Queen’s personal interview with the French emperor. Prussia lost many of its Polish territories, as well as all territory west of the Elbe, and had to finance a large indemnity and to pay for French troops to occupy key strong points within the Kingdom. Although the ineffectual King himself seemed resigned to Prussia’s fate, various reforming ministers, such as Baron vom Stein, Prince von Hardenberg, Scharnhorst, and Count Gneisenau, set about reforming Prussia’s administration and military, with the encouragement of Queen Luise (who died, greatly mourned, in 1810). In 1813, following Napoleon’s defeat in Russia, Frederick William turned against France and signed an alliance with Russia at Kalisz, although he had to flee Berlin, still under French occupation. Prussian troops played a key part in the victories of the allies in 1813 and 1814, and the King himself travelled with the main army of Prince Schwarzenberg, along with Alexander of Russia and Francis of Austria. At the Congress of Vienna, Frederick William’s ministers succeeded in securing important territorial increases for Prussia, although they failed to obtain the annexation of all of Saxony, as they had wished. Following the war, Frederick William turned towards political reaction, abandoning the promises he had made in 1813 to provide Prussia with a constitution. Frederick William was determined to unify the Protestant churches, to homogenize their liturgy, their organization and even their architecture. In a series of proclamations over several years the. Church of the Prussian Union. Was formed, bringing together the majority group of Lutherans, and the minority group of Reformed Protestants. The main effect was that the government of Prussia had full control over church affairs, with the king himself recognized as the leading bishop. In 1824 Frederick William III remarried (morganatically) Countess Auguste von Harrach, Princess of Liegnitz. They had no children. He died on 7 June 1840 in Berlin, survived by his second wife. His eldest son, Frederick William IV, succeeded him. Frederick William III is buried at the Mausoleum in Schlosspark Charlottenburg, Berlin. The item “1799, Prussia, Frederick William III. Our in-house numismatist staff assign conditions to all products. The condition assigned to the products is derived from industry-wide standards. Please keep in mind that most images are stock images, and therefore you should not expect to receive the pictured products. Silver products, and some gold as well, may exhibit milk spots, and/or toning, which are normal and do not change the condition described in the listing, nor the value of the product. Coins that are holdered by one of the major grading companies are graded based on the condition they were in at the time of grading. However, at times, coins do tend to develop spotting or toning which are a normal happenstance in coins. Please keep in mind, the appearance of the toning and/or milk spots does not mean that the coin is not the grade specified on the actual slab. In instances where there is a discrepancy where the customer believes to be unjust, please refer to the grading companys guarantee policy. Both NGC and PCGS have a program where they will compensate the owner of the current coin if they believe the coin deserves a lower grade than it had originally received. Please note, bullion coins, bars and rounds are mass-produced and are not struck to the same quality standards as collector coins. These bullion products are not certified and therefore will not always be 100% perfect. Purchasing bullion and/or coins involves price risk, and the purchaser assumes all such risk. We do not offer or make price adjustments based on the market fluctuations of precious metals, or for any other reason. We will never ask the customer to pay more for a product if the price significantly increased, so please refrain from requesting price adjustments after market prices decrease. Stunning 1959 Solid 9ct Gold Rolex Coin Edge Precision Gents Vintage Watch
Stunning 1959 Solid 9ct Gold Rolex Coin Edge Precision with Box and Guarantee Gents Vintage Watch. This is a beautiful example of the solid 9ct yellow gold Rolex Precision dating from 1959. The very rare solid 9ct gold Coin Edge case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear there is an engraving on the case back. We usually avoid engraved watches but this one has the original guarantee, dated 1959 and the original Rolex coffin box (insert missing). To find paperwork with any watch over 20 years old is extremely rare and to find the original Rolex box is wonderful (the case is also the rarer version with the coin edge carried onto the lugs). The stunning and original Rolex signed ivory/cream dial is untouched and again in excellent condition. We usually refinish dials as they suffer from heavy patina but this one has aged beautifully (I would suggest it was rarely worn and kept in its box). The applied gold Arabic hour numbers at the quarters and applied gold batons in between along with the original gold hands (blued steel second hand) provide the softest contrast to the dial and blend perfectly with the gleaming gold case please see picture 6 for the colours of the Numbers and Hands. The very high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by my watchmaker. To complete this very special watch I have added a new, high quality Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches black crocodile skin strap with a gold plated Hirsch buckle. As mentioned, we also have the original green Rolex coffin style box which is in overall very good condition but does have the insert missing (it carries the Rolex logo on the front and the initials FF in gold leaf). We also have the original guarantee dating it to 1959. As mentioned, this is incredibly rare. My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. The case measures 33 mm across, excluding the Rolex signed winding crown and 41 mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed D S & S (this is the English casemaker, Shackman, who made cases for a lot of the major brands including Rolex, Omega, Jaeger and Breitling) and the case number is 05775. It has the appropriate hallmarks for solid 9ct gold the Lion is the London Assay Office and the age letter is d dating it to 1959. The dial is signed Rolex, Precision and Swiss. The very high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement has just been fully serviced by my watchmaker. The movement is signed Montres Rolex SA Geneva Swiss, Seventeen 17 Jewels and the movement number is N55559. We hold a Hirsch franchise and are able to supply any strap in their range.
