The coin is made from 0.900 fine gold with a weight of 0.4823 troy oz. The obverse shows Mexico’s national Coat of Arms featuring a golden eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak. Inscribed above is the words “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” and the year of mintage to the side. The reverse features the Aztec Calendar Stone with the denomination and weight.
