The Krugerrand, first introduced in 1967, is one of the most well-known gold bullion coins in the world, with various weights including the 1/10 oz version. The 1/10 oz Krugerrand, including the 1981 edition, is made of 91.67% gold (22 karats). The remaining 8.33% is copper, which gives the coin its slightly reddish tint and makes it more durable. Despite the alloy, the coin contains exactly 1/10 troy ounce of pure gold. Solid 22k gold coin 1/10oz with soild 18k frame, marked 750. Weight approximately 4.35g. Approximately 16mm coin width. Fine Antiques & Jewellery. Vintage 1/10 Krugerrand Coin in 9ct Gold Mount Pendant. A very attractive gold pendant in oval form with a rope twist border. In the centre it is set with a vintage 1985 1/10th Krugerrand which is 22 carats south African gold. The pendant can be worn either side so you can have the head or the tail of the coin showing. The coin is loose set so could be removed in future should you wish. The mount is stamped 9ct to the left of the coin on the tail side. Material : 22ct gold coin / 9ct gold mount. Length : 28.15 mm excluding loop and bale. Weight: 5.61 grams (before packing). Condition : Overall very good. Coin with light wear.
