Each 1987 1/2 oz Gold Chinese Panda coin has a face value of 50 Yuan, backed by the People’s Bank of China. The design of the reverse side features a panda sipping from a pond along with the denomination and purity of the coin inscribed in Chinese characters. The obverse side of the Coin features the Temple of Heaven with the People’s Republic of China engraved above the temple in Chinese characters along with the year of production.
