Beautiful and impressive necklace with a 14K Yellow Gold Vergina Sun coin set in Sterling silver frame and intricate braided chain. The center part measures 1.5″ (38mm) long x 1 3/8″ (35mm) high. The 14k Gold coin measures 17mm round. The chain is 4mm wide and necklace measures 17.5 long. Total weight is 24 Grams. Stamped 14k on back of coin and 925 on chain and Silver frame. The Vergina Sun also known as the Star of Vergina, Macedonian Star or Argead Star, is a rayed solar symbol appearing in ancient Greek art of the period between the 6th and 2nd centuries BC.
